Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy has described Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an honest man and said that he should not be removed.
“The Prime Minister is an honest man but he is not able to take independent decisions because he has a high command over him,” he told journalists here on Saturday. He was commenting on the BJP leaders' charge that the Prime Minister was weak.
“I'm not in favour of demanding his [Dr. Singh's] removal,” Dr. Swamy said, adding that he was a good Prime Minister in the present circumstances.
Dr. Swamy reacted sharply to the apology by BJP leader L.K Advani to Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the issue of Swiss Bank accounts saying that he should not have done so. — PTI
