The state government has informed the vigilance court hearing the Palmolein import case that it favours continuing investigations into the deal.
The counsel for state government submitted that there could be more people who could be arraigned as accused in the case. The case will come up for hearing again on March 7.
The vigilance court proceedings began after the Supreme Court vacated the stay for trial in the case. Former civil supplies minister T.H. Mustafa had filed a discharge petition in the case recently. He had argued that he should be removed from the list of accused as then finance minister Oommen Chandy has not been made an accused
