Kannur: Police today recovered four powerful bombs, six sharp edged swords and an axe from New Mahe, near Thalassery in this district, this morning.
According to police, the bombs and weapons were recovered following a raid conducted by Thalassery DSP Prince Abraham-led team at a plot near Chellath Madapura, under New Mahe Police Station Limits.
Yesterday, police recovered six country made bombs following a raid at Central Poyiloor, near Panoor.
The bombs were kept at an unsed plot at Vattapoyilummal.
The raids were conducted at Panoor Circle.
Raids will continue in coming days in view of coming Assembly Elections, police said.
