Two youth killed in bike-tipper accident in Kozhikode
Kozhikode: Two youth were killed when a tipper lorry ran over them on the Koyilandy-Edavanna State Highway near Balussery, here on Monday afternoon.The deceased were identified as Ajith, 32, from Payyoli Thiruvoth and R. Rajesh, 34 from Meppayoor . The youth, who were proceeding on a bike to Balussery, were initially hit by a car from behind. They fell on the road and the speeding lorry ran over them and they died on the spot.The bodies were damaged beyond recognition, the police said.The lorry driver fled the scene. The police arrested the driver of the car. Rajesh is the son of Raghavan Nair and Padmini. Reji is his wife and Naithik is his son. The deceased Ajith is his cousin. Ajith is the son of late Gopalan Nambiar and Santhamma.
