Beijing: At least nine people were killed and two injured in an outburst of gas at a coal mine in China Wednesday, the government said.The accident took place around 1 a.m. in a pit of the Jiala Coal Mine in Huangnihe town of southwest China's Yunnan Province, Xinhua reported quoting the local government.
It said 85 workers were in the pit at the time of the accident. Eight were killed at the scene and three were injured. One of the injured died later in hospital.
