Three youth hit by train, die
Mavelikkara: Three youth were found dead after being hit by a train in Mavelikkara on Wednesday. They were found dead near the Punnamoody overbridge at the court junction. The deceased are Sumesh, 27 of Punnmoodu, Kochumon, 25, Kallumal and Shiju , 25, from Mavelikkara. It was on Wednesday night that the natives found the bodies and informed the police. They were identified as per the address in their possession. It is learnt that the Kollam passenger which passed through the new track at around 7.30 pm hit them.
Mavelikkara- Kayamkulam double line was commissioned the previous Friday and many were not aware of its commissioning. People used to walk through the new line as it was non-functional. It is learnt that the youth were unaware of its commissioning. Renjini is Sumesh's wife and they have two kids.
