AMU former pro vice chancellor Dr Bahavudhin passed away
Paravur (Kollam): Dr K M Bahavudhin, former principal of Kozhikode regional engineering college and former pro vice chancellor of Alligarh Muslim University, 82, passed away in Thriuvananthapuram at his daughter's home. He was residing at Ashiyana in Vennala , Ernakulam and it was only two days back he went to his daughter home. After securing degree from Thiruvananthapuram university college and he later secured engineering from AMU and PG in Engineering from Manchester, England.
He worked as lecturer in AMU, engineer in PWD department in Tamil Nadu, as head of quality control division of Durgapoor Steel Plant. He also worked as design section head of Hindustan Steel limited. He acted as principal of Kozhikode regional Engineering college for 12 years. During his regime that famous Rajan case held where police held Rajan and tortured him to death in police lock up. Later he became pro vice chancellor in AMU and and retired as the executive director of National institute of education , planning and administration in 1989.
He had written a number of books. His wife is Ramla Beevi. Children, Asif, Lulu, Dr Fausiya and Shahin.
