Protests were registered in many parts of the state on seat allocation in Congress. Stones were hurled against DCC office in Palakkad. Moreover, Congress is also facing threat from rebels.In Palakkad, denial of seat to former DCC president AV Gopinath led to protests. In Mannarkad a march was held to protest against denial of seat to former DCC secretary PJ Paulose.
In Thrissur Youth Congress activists took out a march in protest against neglecting youth and giving prominence to age olds. In Thiruvananthapuram, two rebels from UDF have came forward. KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala is also facing a rebel threat as INTUC state secretary AK Rajan said that he would contest in Harippad as rebel against Ramesh for denying him a seat.
