Thiruvananthapuram: The lottery department is of the opinion that each day fake lotteries worth Rs 2 crore is being sold in Kerala. The authorities demanded an immediate enquiry on this. They also handed over complaints that they have received on fake lotteries to the police. As per records, in Tamil Nade fake lottery sales for Rs 12 crore and in Karnataka Rs 9 crore are going on. It is alleged that Santiago Martin, who is the wholesale dealer of Sikkim and Bhutan lotteries, is behind the fake lotteries too. They would contact the regular purchasers of Sikkim and Bhutan lotteries via mobile and give the number of the lottery through mobile. They also won the confidence of buyers by giving prizes on time.
