Drunk woman throws kid on the roads

Kollam: A drunk woman threw her kid on the road and the police later handed over the kid to the child welfare committee. The one and half year old girl is now at the children's home of State children welfare committee. The incident occurred on Sunday night. The woman was found drunk in front of the Kollam east police station. She was attempting to shoo away the kid when it was approaching her. Seeing this, the locals informed the matter to the police. Later police took the child and the woman, who fell unconscious, was admitted to a district hospital.

The identity of the child and the woman is not known and also their relationship. Police said they suspect the woman to be mentally challenged.
