Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal is organising three different programmes, a poster making competition on April 22, summer vacation programme for green teens and green cubs from May 18 - June 05.
Children, born between April 01, 1994 and March 31, 1997 are only allowed to participate in this poster making competition. The theme is ‘Forests: Nature at Your Service’. Children should bring two passport photographs and proof of age. They should also at 0755-2461371 to confirm their participation.
First prize of Rs 5000, second of Rs 2000, third of Rs 1000 and encouragement prize of Rs 500 would also be awarded to the winners on June 5. Apart from this, a National level ‘Young Environmentalist of the Year-2011’ award of Rs 10,000 would be
conferred on June 5 at New Delhi. There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.
During summer vacation, there are two programmes green teens and green cubs would be organised from May 18 to June 15. Children born between April 1, 1997 and March 31, 1999 are eligible for green teens. Identification of trees, bird watching, field visits, and animal behaviour would be organised under this programme.
Children born between April 1, 1999 and March 31, 2002 are eligible for the programme. Animal modelling, clay modelling, sketching, nature painting, origami, local field visit etc. would be organised for green cubs.
For both the programmes, interested children can register their name at the reception of the museum before April 26.
