On her way to jail, Lindsay remembered late grandpa

London: Actress Lindsay Lohan's jail sentence was overshadowed by the memories of her late grandfather, whose birthday fell a day before she was sent to prison.'With my family and thinking of my grandfather whos (whose) birthday was yesterday and unfortunately passed away a few years ago...,' Lohan, who went to the jail for the fourth time, posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The 24-year-old appeared in a Los Angeles court to plead not guilty to a misdemeanour charge over allegations that she stole a pricey necklace from a California jewelry store in January.

According to femalefirst.co.uk, the judge sentenced her to 120 days behind bars.

However, Lohan remained upbeat about her situation and even expressed her hope to continue working.

'I am just grateful for the life I have, I cannot explain how excited I am to begin working on films again, on top of that - I better get one of my two favorite scripts that I am in love with. My friends know what they both are... All my love - LL God bless and g'night,' she further tweeted.
