District in-charge Minister Jayant Malaiya visited different parts of the old city on Saturday along with Mayor Krishna Gaur, Collector Nikunj Kumar Shrivastava, local legislator Arif Aqeel, Additional Commissioner Arvind Dubey and SDM Vikas Mishra.
First, Malaiya reached Tila Jamalpura, Bholanath colony, Subedar colony, New Gandhi Nagar, Harijan Basti, Indira Nagar, Putlighar, Jeevan Jyoti colony of Putli Nagar and other places and received feedback from the local residents regarding water supply.
Malaiya directed the legislator and local councillors to provide portable water to the citizens during summer. He got the information about the announcements of the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Jyoti Nagar Colony by the officers.
At Bholanath Colony, the Minister discussed about water supply with legislator Arif Aqeel, councillor and MiC member Pankaj Chaukse. Aqeel told that water supply should be made from Reserve Bank of India Colony’s tube-well at Bholanath Colony and New Gandhi Nagar.
Malaiya told the officials to take necessary action after examining the tube-well of RBI colony. He took information regarding taking out motor from a tube-well, but the officials claimed that the tube-well would collapse even if the motor is taken out.
During the inspection MiC members Vishnu Rathore, Pankaj Choukse, Mahesh Makwana, councillors Manoj Malviya and Brijmohan Pachauri, city engineers Sunil Shrivastava, Sudhir Kalra, Manoj Shrivastava, Subodh Jain and Udit Garg, former Councilor and legislator’s representative Kewal Mishra, former councillor Kamlesh Ghanshyam Kushwaha, officers of district administration and Municipal Corporation were present along with local residents.
