New Delhi : Despite Congress demands for his resignation, veteran BJP leader Dr Murli Manohar Joshi has been again appointed Chairman of the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for another term. Dr Joshi was nominated by the BJP for another term and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar appointed him the Chairman.
The term of the previous committee had ended yesterday and Dr Joshi's new tenure as Chairman will be for one year. Dr Joshi who submitted his report on the 2 G Spectrum to the Speaker, was criticised by the Congress for allegedly preparing the report with "malafide intention" to defame and destabilise the Government.
