    CM, CRPF DG pay homage to martyrs

    Ranchi: Chief Minister Arjun Munda, security advisor to the Chief Minister DN Gautam, Chief Secretary SK Choudhary, Home Secretary JB Tubid, DGP GS Rath along with CRPF DG K Vijay Kumar paid homage to the jawans at CRPF 133 battalion headquarters in Sector-2 of HEC. Guard of honour was also given to the jawans.

    The Jharkhand Police have ordered a full inquiry into the killing of 11 CRPF and district police jawans in multiple IED blasts and encounter under Senha police station of Lohardaga district on Tuesday.

    While addressing the Press, CRPF DG K Vijay Kumar said, "I have conveyed the condolence message to the family members of the deceased on behalf of Union Home Minister P Chidambram and we are trying to ascertain the facts as to what went wrong in the incident."

    Rejecting the allegation of intelligence failure Kumar added, "Every incident is a learning lesson and we will work out on the failures but I assure you that we will bounce back." Kumar also made it clear that there was no lapse in the co-ordination and planning part and jawans fought till the end and did not allow them to take away any weapons. Both GS Rath and CRPF DG Kumar confirmed that it was a trap laid by the Maoists.

    DGP Gauri Shanker Rath stated, "Jharkhand is in a war like situation. It is not a one day battle. I am sure we will win the war."
