Special school for endosulfan victims mooted
Kochi: The National Human Rights Commission chairman justice K G Balakrishnan said that recommendations have been forwarded to set up special schools for endosulfan-affected children in Kasargod. He said it is the state government which has to implement recommendations as per the constitution. Those children won't be able to study like other kids and they need special care and attention.The Commission also recommended aid of upto Rs 5 lakh for the family of the victims who died and who are under treatment. The Commission also held discussions with the concerned officials in the state government.
