BJP minority front to felicitate CM on June 11

The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minorities Front would felicitate Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on June 11 at Iqbal Maidan here.

Informing this at a Press meet here on Sunday, BJP State unit vice-president and in-charge State Minorities Front Dhruv Narayan Singh said former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain would especially be present during the occasion and several leaders from the minority community would join the party. He said that party workers from Bhopal, Sagar, Indore and Ujjain would take part in the programme.

Claiming that a huge section of minority communities inclined towards the BJP and the party reaped harvest during the 2008 Assembly polls, Singh said, the community came closer to the party due to Chouhan’s clean image and his efforts to maintain congenial relation with all sections and communities.

Singh said, “The programmes and schemes launched by the BJP Government of the State-led by Chouhan have attracted large section of minorities towards the BJP that is evident by party’s victory in many minorities’ populated areas.”

Alleging that the Congress always tried to create misunderstanding between the BJP and the minority communities, Singh who is also the convernor of the programme said, “The BJP would also try to clear such misconception and tell them the party’s stand towards minorities and send the message that the party is well wisher of the community.”

BJP minorities cell State president Hidayatullah Sheikh said that a large number of Muslims are joining the BJP in the beneficiary conclaves organised by the party. He said, “The works done by the Chouhan for the development of minorities are attracting the Muslims to join the BJP.”

Sheikh further said that many Muslim candidates have emerged victorious on the BJP ticket in the various local bodies elections held in the State last days.

Sheikh said the feelings of the people of the minority community would be conveyed to the Chief Minister during the occasion.
