Latest News from India - Women, nephew in love ends life

Chenganoor: A woman and her nephew, who were in love, ended their life on Friday. Rethi, 36, wife of Murali from Ala Pelissery and her nephew Gireesh, 24, son of Sivadasan and Murali's sister Radha were found hanging from a room of Rathi's house using a single rope. The incident came to light when relatives from Mavelikara reached their house and found it to be locked. They found the bodies after a search. Bottles of juice suspected to be consumed by them before their death were also found. It is also suspected that the juice was laced with poison.

Three months back, they made an attempt to commit suicide. After the incident police warned Gireesh not to enter Rethi's house. At 3 pm on Friday Rethi's husband Murali left his house after lunch and immediately afterwards Gireesh reached Rethi's place.

Gireesh returned from Gulf after Murali's mother's death a year back. He was residing in Murali's house for some time and had an affair with Rethi. He never went back to Gulf and was working at Kollam harbour. Murali and Rethi have no children.
