Thiruvananthapuram: A three-member group attacked a couple, their son and servants in their house in Pettah. Priyadas Managalath, an industrialist owning a software business, his wife Jessy, son Gowtham, servants Aji and Joyi were injured in the attack. A year back a group of robbers from Maharashtra had looted jewelleries and a Benz car from the same house after tying up Jessy. They were held by the police. Police suspect Sunday's incident to be a case of revenge.
Injuries of Priyadas and Jessy are serious and they are under treatment at the Medical College Hospital. The incident occurred on Sunday at 4 pm. Three of the robbers barged into the house and attacked Priyadas first. Hearing the commotion, natives reached the scene and grabbed one of them, Subramaniyam, who is from Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu.
The main accused in last year's attack Vikas Kodaji Chowhan was held and another Bapka later. Vikas was in Poojapura central jail. He is now under remand in Bangalore in another case.
