Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the integrated e-registration facility for contactors on Monday. The facility is first of its kind in the country. Public Works Minister Nagendra Singh and officiating Chief Secretary OP Rawat were also present on the occasion. With the launch of this system,
contractors can now get themselves registered online sitting in their homes. Contractors of all the construction departments can get themselves registered through this facility.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the entire process of e-registration would be online. He congratulated the department for launching this system. Rawat said that arrangements would also be made in the system for registration of complaints so that contractors can register their difficulties also. It was informed that after moving an online application through this system, the registration process will be completed in three days. Under the system, now there will be only three categories of contactors.
Earlier, there were more than five categories. Now, if any contractor is blacklisted by one department, he will remain blacklisted for all the departments. Contractors can get themselves registered through websites of mponline or MPPWD.
A contractor will get himself registered on the website by securing a user ID and password. Besides, he will upload scanned copies of necessary documents with the application. The scrutiny of this online application will be made at three levels and if the application is found eligible, the applicant will be intimated online as well as through SMS.
After this, the contractor concerned can get himself registered by presenting his original documents at any facilitation centre in all the 50 districts of the State. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that such an arrangement should be made that contactors can also present their documents online.
Those also present on the occasion of the launching of e-registration facility included Principal Secretary Public Works KK Singh, Principal Secretary Finance GP Singhal, secretaries to the CM, Vivek Agrawal and Hariranjan Rao and Engineer-in-Chief Akhilesh Agrawal.
