Kottayam: Union Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi, who was admitted to a private nursing home at Changanacherry here last night following knee injuries, was discharged from the hospital today.From the hospital, the Minister went back to Delhi via Alappuzha and Kochi.
All programmes of the Minister had been cancelled for the next four days following doctors' advice. He had to attend a function to be held here on July 16.
He sustained injuries when he slipped and fell while attending the marriage of a Congress leader's son here last evening.
Without taking it seriously, he went to Kollam via Changanacherry but on the way, he was taken to Chethipuzha St Thomas Hospital, near Changanacherry, following pain and swelling in his knee.
A team of doctors under Dr P S John, Former Head of the Kottayam Medical College Orthopaedics Department and Dr Mathew George attended on him at the hospital.
State Minister K C Joseph and other Congress leaders visited him at the hospital.
