A high-level delegation of the Election Commission, led by its chief S Y Quraishi, will be visiting the city on July 20 to hold meetings with State officials in connection with the 2012 Assembly polls.
During the visit, the delegation will meet representatives of recognised political parties, official sources said in Lucknow.
Besides Mr. Quraishi, the delegation will include election commissioners V S Sampath and H S Brahma, Deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Jutshi and Director General Akshay Raut.
“EC delegation will hold meeting with political parties on July 20 and on the next day hold review meeting in connection with poll preparedness with all divisional commissioners and district magistrates,” Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha said.
The delegation will also meet DGP, Principal Secretary, Home and Chief Secretary of the State.
