Latest News from India - CPI state council member T Suresh Chandran quits

Kalpetta: CPI state council member and former Wayanad district secretary Suresh Chandran resigned from the party owing to protest from a section of leaders. His resignation letter is still not given. After his removal from the district secretary post one and half years back, he was not active with party works. Suresh who was on leave for some period due to bad health was asked to quit by a section of the leaders earlier. The same partymen asked him to contest the panchayat election last time. He contested and lost the election. Though he was not active after losing the secretary post, he became active during assembly elections. After polls he again backtracked.

Districts secretary Vijayan Cherukara said they had never got a hint of him quitting. But at the same time there are rumors that Suresh might join CPM.
