Latest Indian News : BSP MLA’s son crushes 2 to death; three critical

Two persons died and three were critically injured when they came under the wheels of a SUV rashly driven by drunkard son of a Bahujan Samaj Party MLA in Sitapur on Thursday night.

Surprisingly, the local police and even the senior police officers were trying to save the culprit. They registered a case against the accused after much hue and cry but neither named the MLA’s son nor mentioned his vehicle number in the report of the incident.

Sitapur district police chief Piyush Mordia claimed that the FIR was lodged against unknown persons but they were still probing the role of MLA’s son in the incident.

He added that if evidences were found against him, they would arrest him.

Reports said that Sachin Verma, son of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator Roshan Lal Verma of Nigohi, was driving a Bolero jeep in inebriated state late on Thursday night.

When he was crossing Hatuwa turning under the Nigohi police station, he lost the control over the wheels and rammed the four-wheeler into a Tata Magic passenger van parked on the roadside.

As a result, fiver persons were injured critically and Sachin reportedly escaped from the spot threatening everyone with dire consequences if anyone dared to report the matter to the police authorities.

Of the five persons injured in the incident, one of the victims Haribans Teli of same locality, died on the spot while Mahesh Pal of Kataiya Usmanpur hamlet of Nigohi, was pronounced dead upon arrival in the hospital.

The condition of one of the three injured persons Dharmendra was stated to be critical.

Mahesh Pal’s son Raju told the media persons that when he went to lodge a case against MLA’s son, the local cops refused to do so and pushed him outside the police station.

However, when the local villagers staged a demonstration, senior police officer reached the spot and ordered the cops of the local police station to register a case.

The accused was, however, not arrested so far and senior officers claimed that they would first probe into the matter and collect evidence before proceeding against the culprit.
