Renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh passed away at 8am in Lilavati Hospital today. 70-year-old Singh was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after he suffered a brain haemorrhage on September 23. Singh had a clot in his brain and underwent a surgery to get the clot removed.
The 70-year old singer was suffering from high blood pressure, known to cause brain haemorrhages In 2007, Singh had been hospitalised following blood circulation issues. He had also suffered a heart attack in 1998.
