Latest News from India - Raghu's death: Accused remanded in police custody for five days

Perumbavoor: Santhosh and Satheesh, the accused in the murder case of Raghu from Perumbavoor, were remanded in police custody for five days for interrogations. A health check up of the accused was done as gunman Satheesh alleged that police had beat him and was having a chest pain. Aluva rural SP Har****ha Athalloori came to Perumbavoor on Thursday and questioned them. Confusion still prevails on the money recovered from Raghu's pocket and the Rs 17,000 from Santhosh. Documents show that Raghu had Rs 19,500 with him when he boarded the bus. But only Rs 7000 was recovered from him. Santhosh said he had the money which he got from gold trade. He also told police that Raghu returned him Rs 10,000 that he had stolen. Police was not able to trace the man who had given money to Santhosh after gold trade. The police would probe the criminal background of Santhosh, who was a gold trader earlier.
