BJP launches campaign for Harda civic polls

State BJP president Prabhat Jha launched campaigning for the Harda municipality elections on Sunday. Addressing a huge gathering of locals, Jha urged them to vote for the BJP for integrated development of Harda town.

He further said that in the recently concluded by-elections in different parts of the country, the electorates have indicated that they do not like Congress. In all the bypolls in parliamentary or Assembly constituencies, the voters have rejected the Congress and voted in favour of the BJP.

Out of 30 wards of Harda municipality, 16 women candidates are in the fight. The BJP has fielded Sadhna Jain for the post of municipality Chairman. Jha further said that the candidate never contests any election; it is only the BJP that is fighting the elections through Sadhna Jain, and urged the voters to give mandate to the BJP.

He called upon the party workers to reach out to the residents, so that the BJP could win the elections.

Jha stated that those who won the election last time left nothing for the development. Thus, the voters should give a befitting reply in this election by not voting for them. “We need to form council of BJP and I assure that the State government would leave no stone unturned for the development of Harda town,” he added.

Jha expressed gratitude towards all those candidates who withdrew their candidature in favour of the BJP candidate. He stated that the BJP formed the government second time in Madhya Pradesh only on the basis of workers’ support and people’s strength. In this election too, Jha expected that the residents would vote for the BJP and do not allow opposition to create a rift between two communities in the town. BJP state organisational general secretary Arvind Menon also addressed the meeting.
