22 injured in clash over road issue
As many as 22 people, including eight women, were injured as rival factions clashed in Manikpur village near Bhadoli on Monday, police said.
The two factions have a longstanding dispute over a road in their village which is presently in court.
The trouble started this morning when one of the groups tried to reconstruct a wall which had been pulled down by the other some time ago. Following this, supporters of both sides came on the road in large numbers and clashed with each other, they said.
22 people were injured in the incident, the police said, adding the condition of three -- Bantu (8), Shyma Devi (26), who is pregnant, and Chandravati (60) -- was stated to be serious.
10 persons have been arrested in this connection, they said.
