The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration in a major action on Friday cancelled the licences and development permissions of four construction companies including Raj Colonizers. The said action comes following violation of development permission rules and doing illegal construction. In all, licenses of four colonisers and eleven development permissions were cancelled.
The BMC found gross violation in Minal Residency area in development permissions and building permissions, construction of over 675 illegal houses and therefore, cancelled the licences of Raj Homes Private Limited, Anchal Housing Construction Cooperative Society, Vishnupuri Housing Construction Cooperative Society and Indraprasth Housing Construction Cooperative Society and declared them zero as per their legal status, besides cancelling eleven development permissions of these organisations, to remove the illegal construction done by them. The action against few more development permissions would continue in the coming days.
Notably, the BMC administration had blown a major portion of the Minal Residency constructed by Raj Homes in May this year as it was constructed on the Government land. During that period, the administration came to know that the builder has made gross violation in the lay out plan and has changed the permissions of various departments as per his will and has also constructed several illegal structures without taking building permission. The BMC authorities during inspection of the colony found irregularities in every section and thus the action was taken.
The BMC administration has also initiated action against its officials and employees who were found hand in gloves with the builders.
