Ten Maruti cars got charred in a fire accident in a garage at Gandhinagar here during the wee hours of Friday.
Maruti Scan near Sai Complex in the city, where the mishap occurred, basically does repairing and servicing on Maruti cars. According to the owner of the garage, repairing work continued till 12 o'clock on Thursday night. After work, they returned home but early in the morning, they saw the garage was on fire. Fire station officials struggled for two hours to control the blaze. They succeed but by then 10 cars were already charred.
Besides this, the other spare parts of the garage were also burnt in the mishap. Short-circuit is suspected to be the reason for the fire.
