    Madhu Koda hurt in prison baton charge

    Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda was allegedly beaten up by the Birsa Munda Central jail security staff, who tried to break the agitation launched by VVIPs prisoners against poor food quality.

    The former CM and his associate Binod Sinha were beaten up by security personnel comprising former servicemen who have been deployed by the Prison Department for the jail security. According to sources, two other ex-Ministers Enos Ekka and Harinarayan Rai, who are also lodged in jail alongwith Koda, had joined the agitation for poor quality of food served in the jail, also suffered minor injuries in the scuffle.

    Koda was immediately rushed to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and was said to have suffered fracture in the right hand.
