The 45-year-old wife of a senior railway official was found dead in a warehouse with her neck slit. Neelam Gupta, wife of a railway official posted in Delhi, was on her way to purchase milk last evening when she was attacked by unidentified persons, they said.
When Neelam failed to return home, her family members informed the police who found the body in a warehouse belonging to the Railways. The body had been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding a probe had been initiated.
In another incident, a 23-year-old woman working in a call centre in Noida allegedly committed suicide on Sunday night by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her house, police said.
The girl purportedly took the extreme step after her parents opposed her relationship with a boy who belonged to a lower caste, they said.
