BJP, MNS take a dig at Rahul’s ‘begging’ remark
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s statement at Phulpur rally on Monday asking Uttar Pradesh youth how long they would continue to “beg” in Maharashtra, instead of changing the Government in their State, evoked sharp reactions in the country’s western State.Senior BJP deputy leader Gopinath Munde said, “It (Rahul’s statement) is an insult to the people of Uttar Pradesh.” MNS chief Raj Thackeray blamed the Nehru-Gandhi family squarely for the lack of development and employment in Uttar Pradesh.
Coming down heavily on Rahul, Nehru-Gandhi family and the Congress, Raj said: “Uttar Pradesh has been the traditional constituency of the Nehru-Gandhi family for decades.
