SP asks UP Guv to dismiss BSP Govt
Condemning the short duration of the Assembly session, a delegation of the Samajwadi Party, led by leader of the Opposition Shivpal Yadav, demanded the dismissal of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Government on Sunday.
Yadav submitted a memorandum to Governor BL Joshi urging him to dismiss the State Government and take steps to safeguard the Constitution and restore democratic set-up in the State. “We demanded during the business advisory meeting with the Speaker to extend the duration of the Assembly session. We were informed that it was only for two days,” he said.
Shivpal claimed that their demand was turned down by the Speaker. “As has been the practice in the past, the Assembly session was declared closed sine die much before the stipulated duration. We are apprehensive that the session will be dissolved just after the first day,” he said.
He also apprised the Governor of CM being neck deep in graft and did not want that House should continue for long as she would be exposed.
