    India-Ukraine ties on visa-free travel for diplomats
    India and Ukraine on Friday signed an agreement to facilitate visa free travel for diplomatic passport holders in each others countries.

    The pact was signed by Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Kostyantyn Gryshchenko and his Indian counterpart SM Krishna after holding wide ranging discussions in New Delhi.

    The two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral partnership to realise the full potential of economic relations. The two countries have already signed an agreement to intensify scientific corporation between scientists and institutions of the two countries.

    Kostyantyn Gryshchenko who reached New Delhi yesterday met the Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar last evening to discuss issues of mutual interest. He also met the Commerce Minister Mr. Anand Sharma to take forward the strategic partnership. He is leaving back home tomorrow.

    AIR correspondent reports, that Ukraine is the second largest trade partner of India in the CIS region with the bilateral trade target of 5 billion US dollars. The two countries have agreed to open new vistas of corporation in the fields of metallurgy and power.

    The fourth meeting of Indo-Ukraine inter governmental commission has also decided to take forward the corporation in these areas at a faster phase.
