S Leone entry into TV show: Action against Colors sought
Porn star Sunny Leone’s entry into Big Boss programme on Colors Television has already raised a few eyebrows among TV personalities and, now, a BJP MP has sought from the Government an action against the reality show.
Close on the heels of a similar request by The Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) seeking action against the channel, BJP’s youth wing chief Anurag Thakur on Thursday wrote to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Sonia, drawing her attention to the fact that “a porn star is being projected as a celebrity in front of children”.
Thakur, Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh, wrote, “After watching the show when children search Leone’s name on the internet, to their shock, they are being diverted to porn sites with explicit content. This is also becoming a matter of grave concern for their parents.” He said, “There should be no place for explicit and indecent content on national TV programming.”
According to a recent report, Sunny Leone has become the most searched adult celebrity on web and it was becoming difficult to keep the children away from accessing her explicit videos and pictures.
