No-trust motion is moment of anxiety for Andhra Govt
With the Andhra Pradesh Assembly all set to take up the opposition Telugu Desam’s no confidence motion against the year-old N Kiran Kumar Reddy Government on Sunday, the political temperature in the State has shot up dramatically.

Though on paper, the Government was looking safe and was likely to prove its majority with the support of Praja Rajyam Party and Majlis-e-Itteadul Muslimeen. Jaganmohan Reddy factor has introduced an element of suspense on the size of majority enjoyed by the Government.

The debate on no confidence motion will be taken up on Sunday after the Question Hour and the discussion on drought situation in the State. Even as leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu introduced the no confidence motion and 76 MLAs extended their support to it, forcing Speaker N Manohar to announce its acceptance, many new factors came into play on the sidelines.

On the one hand, 21 Congress MLAs, siding with YS Jaganmohan Reddy have announced their support to the motion and on other Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi has lobbed a bombshell by publicly displaying his displeasure with the Congress leadership for not giving due respect and importance to his party legislators.
