A district-level table tennis competition was held at Government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls (Autonomous) College. The competition was inaugurated by the college principal, Manjula Sharma. Extending best wishes to the girl students, she said that sports lead to all-round development of a person. Students should take part in sports enthusiastically. Earlier, the principal was welcomed by sports officer Grace Singh.
Students of Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, MLB College, Sant Hirdaram College and Barkatullah University took part in the competition. Barkatullah University team emerged as the winners while the team of Sant Hirdaram College was the runners-up.
The students selected after this competition will take part in divisional-level competition. Coach and referee of the competition was national player MK Sheel and Shailendra Verma (Forest Department). College faculties Ramesh Khot, Ranjana Shrivastava, RK Agrawal, Soni, Anita Shinde, Veena Sharma, Poonam Singh, Pramod Sharma and Khaleel Khan contributed in organisation of the competition. The programme was conducted by Bhavna Shrivastava and Ranjana Sharma. Sports officer Grace Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
