Departmental officers should improve the system in unison. Commissioners and collectors should also cooperate by considering this work also as their own. Officers of Energy Department should undertake field visits to apprise themselves of ground realities.
Out of order transformers should be replaced within three days. No complaints of underhand dealings should be received from anywhere. Action will be taken against those found guilty of irregularities. Chouhan was reviewing power supply situation of every region of the State through videoconferencing here on Friday. Minister of State for Energy Rajendra Shukla, Chief Secretary Avani Vaish, Principal Secretary General Administration Vijaya Shrivastava and Secretary Energy Mohammad Sulaiman were also present on the occasion.
Chouhan instructed that the arrangements being made to supply power to farmers from nine-and-a-half hours to 11 hours at present should be strengthened further. Complaints of tripping and frequent disruption of power should not come.
He said that micro management should be undertaken at 33 KV power distribution level. Transformers should be replaced within three days. Feeder separation work should be completed within the deadline. No laxity, indifference and irregularities will be tolerated in this work and penal action will be taken against concerning officers of Energy Department after fixing responsibility.
The Chief Minister said power distribution arrangements should be perfect. The State Government is spending huge funds on power availability. Its impact should reflect in people's satisfaction.
Farmers suffer losses due to tripping of power and have to work harder. Therefore, power supply should not be disrupted. Effective management of power distribution arrangements is necessary at the lower level. Disparity in quantum of supply to different areas leads to discontent. He said that top priority should be given to increasing people's satisfaction. The responsibility of uninterrupted power supply lies with Divisional Engineer (DE). They should undertake field tours and take action against the employees indulging in irregularities. They will get the cooperation of senior officers, Government and administration.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government was spending a large amount on feeder separation. These funds will be deemed justifiably utilised only when power supply scenario changes for better in the wake of feeder separation.
Secretary Energy Mohammad Sulaiman informed that arrangement of Rs 9,000 crore has been made by the Government for power sector reforms as per the Chief Minister's instructions.
