Japan PM all for boosting Jharkhand ties
Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda met Japanese Prime Minister Yoshi Hiko Noda at the Indo-Japan Global Partnership Summit 2013 in New Delhi on Tuesday. Munda welcomed the Japanese PM and discussed several issues related to development.
While the Haryana Government is already working with the Japanese Government in various sectors, Jharkhand will become the second State to work with the Land of the Rising Sun in areas of core infrastructure, including roads, energy, airport, information technology, natural resource management and social sector.
The PM of Japan also showed interest in the development of Jharkhand and assured collaboration in technical, financial and other aspects. Other speakers, including eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani, were also present.
Munda has invited the Japanese Noda to Jharkhand for an official visit and the State Government is expecting a high-level delegation to arrive for cooperation in the fields of technology and resource management, along with development of infrastructure, very soon.
