    Rani Jethmalani passes away

    Rani Jethmalani, Supreme Court lawyer and daughter of former Union Law Minister Ram Jethmalani, died of prolonged illness in Mumbai on Saturday morning.

    Rani, 50, was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai on December 9 following multi-organ complications.

    According to relatives, Rani was discharged from the hospital a few days ago but developed complications again and breathed her last at her residence in South Mumbai. The funeral will be held later on Saturday at Chandanwadi crematorium. Rani was also an eminent social activist.
