During the debate in the Lok Sabha on the Lokpal Bill on Tuesday last, the lone Member of Parliament to support Anna Hazare’s movement was Inder Singh Namdhari. The Independent MP represents Chatra constituency in Maoist-hit State of Jharkhand. A former president of Bihar BJP, Namdhari was expelled from the party during Ramjanambhoomi Movement. He later joined Lalu Yadav’s Government in Bihar, from where he travelled to Janata Dal (United) and even became Speaker of Jharkhand Assembly, where he orchestrated the fall of the first NDA Government in the State. Seasoned politician and articulate orator, Namdhari even invoked the name of Guru Nanak to make Prime Minister Manmohan Singh stir. Least Team Anna could have thanked him for support from the state of MMRDA; however, Hazare preferred to club him with all the other gaddars (traitors) aka Members of Parliament.
