Bikers snatch gold chain of BSNL deputy manager’s wife
Unknown bikers snatched a gold chain from a BSNL employee’s wife at Vasundhra Colony on Wednesday afternoon. Kiran Dixit, wife of BSNL deputy manager HK Dixit, was waiting for the school bus of her child, when two persons fled away snatching the chain round her neck.
A senior police official said, “The Dixits live at sector 15 of Vashundhara. The incident took place at around 1 pm at Atal Chowk. Kiran Dixit told police that she had gone to bring her child from Atal Chowk bus stop as usual. Before the school bus reached, two bike-borne snatchers arrived at the bus stop.”
The snatchers, who were on a black colour bike, were wearing helmets. While Dixit was standing there, one of the bikers extended his hand and pulled the chain round her neck. Before she could react, the bikers fled away with the chain, the official said. They drove so fast that Dixit could not note the bike’s registration number.
