‘Road builder cashing in on ties with CM'
State Congress has alleged that the owner of a road construction company is en-cashing his close relations with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his family for monetary benefits.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee media department chairman Manak Agarwal in a statement here on Monday said, "The owner of Dilip Buildcon and builder Dilip Singh Suryavanshi is cashing in on his relations with Chouhan and his family since Chouhan became the Chief Minister. The State Government is blindly awarding huge contracts to Suryavanshi's road construction company."
Agarwal further said that such was the degree of nepotism for Suryavanshi's company that neither the quality of the works done by him was checked properly nor the bills raised by it are verified properly by competent authority resulting in crores of rupees in unnecessary payments going to the company's accounts. The officials of the departments concerned were also afraid of Suryavanshi's company due to his connections with the Chief Minister, he added.
He said that no officer had the courage to raise fingers on the works done and bills raised by Suryavanshi's company, in these circumstances the CBI should take suo motu cognizance and start investigations.
