Chadha takes charge as Spl Secy in MHA
Senior IPS officer Ajay Chadha on Monday took charge as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry. Chadha, a 1977 batch Union Territory cadre officer, succeeds UK Bansal who has been appointed as the Director General of Border Security Force (BSF). Chadha will head the crucial internal security division in the Ministry and will directly report to Home Minister P Chidambaram. The senior police officer had served as a Special Commissioner in the Delhi Police before joining the crucial post, sources said.
