There is great deal of curiosity as to why Priyanka Vadra has confined herself to campaigning in Assembly constituencies of Amethi and Rae Bareli, being represented by her brother Rahul Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi. Though party leaders have been demanding that Priyanka, who has much wider mass appeal as compared to her brother, should be utilised for campaigning in other parts of the States also, the top leadership of the Congress has said a firm no. “We are at present using Rahul to the full extent possible in UP. Priyanka is our trump card. In case Rahul factor fails to pay the desired result in these elections, her charismatic sister will be used later,” party sources clarified.
