Join hands for graft crusade, Swami tells Team Anna
Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Sunday called upon Team Anna to give up its aversion to politicians and join hands with him and yoga guru Baba Ramdev in fighting corruption in the country.

Reiterating that he would soon challenge the trial court's order dismissing his petition against Home Minister P Chidambaram in the Supreme Court, Swamy said that it was essential that Anna Hazare, Ramdev and he come on a common platform to bolster the anti-graft campaign.

"Ramdev and I addressed a huge rally on Saturday. Team Anna should give up its aversion to politicians. In a democracy, you cannot do without politicians and political parties".

Swamy said that while Ramdev had agreed to be a part of the common anti-corruption platform, Hazare had not yet.

Speaking on the topic '2G scam and its implications' at the second anniversary of Moneylife Foundation here, Swamy said he would soon establish Chidambaram's alleged criminality in the 2G spectrum case.

"Prima facie, I established a case against Chidambaram and even the court agreed. I wanted the court to summon him to establish his criminality and cross-examine him as to why he agreed to the 2001 pricing and share dilution of companies," Swamy said.

"Act of criminality will not come at trial stage. If (former Telecom Minister and key accused) A Raja is criminally liable, why Chidambaram's role cannot be probed? Conviction proceedings cannot be brought at trial stage. The judge acted on wrong basis. I will move the Supreme Court soon," Swamy said.
