Latest National News : Estranged Munde kin-backed NCP triggers violence in Beed
In three pre-poll incidents reported from Beed district of Marthwada region, three BJP workers were injured and two party offices were attacked by the goons allegedly hired by the ruling NCP.

While a BJP candidate Dashrath Vanwe was stabbed with choppers by some hoodlums in Patoda taluka of Beed district on Monday, NCP workers drove their Scorpio jeep into party office at Rohatwadi village of the same taluka, injuring two party workers.

In the third incident that took place in the constituency of Pandit Anna Munde, some goondas attacked the BJP office with weapons and damaged a vehicle.

In all the three incidents, needle of suspicion was pointed at senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde’s estranged elder brother Pandit Anna and nephew Dhananjay Munde who are currently with the ruling NCP.

On its part, the State BJP lodged a complaint against the ruling NCP with State Election Commissioner Neela Satyanarayan. In a memorandum signed by State Party president Sudhir Mungantiwar, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde and Party spokesperson Madhav Bhandari, the Party urged SEC to declare the entire Beed district as a “sensitive” area and take measures to ensure against law and order problems on the polling day.
