Porngate: MLAs seek more time to reply to show-cause
Additional Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Monday ordered an enquiry into the porno video clip viewing by three sacked BJP Ministers on their cellphone in the Karnataka Assembly on February 7.
Based on a private complaint by city-based lawyer Dharmapal Gowda, the
court has asked the jurisdictional Vidhana Soudha police Sub-Inspector to investigate and submit a report by February 27 on the three sacked BJP members — Lakshman Savadi, CC Patil and Krishna J Palemar.
Meanwhile, these three MLAs have sought a week’s time to file their replies to the show-cause notice served by Speaker KG Bopaiah.
Besides being barred from attending proceedings of the Assembly till a House inquiry committee submits the report on March 12, they were also asked by Bopaiah to give an explanation by Monday.
