Naxalism, funds paucity to dry out forests
Forests in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra will face increasing pressure in the coming years due to Naxalism, according to the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education director general, VK Bahuguna. Talking to the media in the Forest Research Institute on Friday, he said that inadequate funds continue to hamper work in forestry sector in the nation.
